Professional Indemnity Insurance

We hold professional indemnity insurance cover.

Furthermore, all solicitors are subject to strict rules of professional conduct as laid down by the Law Society.

Many clients are not aware of the dangers of instructing unqualified legal representatives who do not hold such insurance and may not be subject to such professional regulations.

Flexible Contact Arrangements

We can be contacted by email directly if clients find this more convenient.

In addition, we can see clients at a time which suits them, if necessary in the evening or at the weekend.

We also offer home visits in appropriate cases.

Charges and Disbursements

Charges are based on the time spent dealing with a matter and the rates are very competitive. Time spent will include:

1 meetings with individual clients (and perhaps others)
1 considering, preparing and working on papers
1 correspondence and making and receiving telephone
1 calls

However, where appropriate, a fixed fee can be agreed with clients. The right to require payment in advance is reserved.

Disbursements such as search fees and photocopying are charged separately and VAT will be added where applicable

Stress-free Legal Service for Businesses

For an annual fee, business clients can subscribe to the on-going Stress-free Legal Service.

This unique service provides business clients with up to two free hours of a legal and consultancy service each month including:

1 drafting and settling letters for clients
1 providing telephone advice on general employment
1 and company law queries
1 preparing simple terms and conditions of
1 employment contract.

Further hours in a month may be taken for a discounted rate of charge per hour.

The advantage of this service is that clients can carry forward any of the two free hours of legal and consultancy service to the next month if it is not claimed during the previous month.

The annual fee will be fixed subject to agreement with clients, depending on the extent of the provision of the services that clients require for their business needs.

A quote can be given either over the telephone or by email or letter. To help clients with their cash flow, the annual fee can be collected on a monthly basis by a standing order.
